CLASS-MON, an add-on to encourage self-evaluation and self-regulation of students

Today I present the project from my participation in the Google Innovators Academy that took place a year ago in Madrid, ESP18. A very rich experience for me, both for the intensive learning and for the relationships with other innovators. During this year Nay Belaunzarán has accompanied me and tutored the project and I only have words of gratitude for her.

But let’s get down to business. Here’s aadd-on for spreadsheets with a very clear purpose. To help students to self-evaluate in order to learn to self-regulate. It may sound very pretentious and the complement is really very simple.

A spreadsheet to save data in AppInventor (or other languages)

Today’s article is very technical and not very pedagogical. As always, the origin is educational, since the problem arose in the classroom, with 16 years old students. But it’s a question of information technology.

This students follow the program Mobilitzem la informàtica with some adaptations (only in Catalan). It is a program where students learn design thinking developing an application for mobile phones with appiventor.

New version of CoRubrics GSD: integration with Classroom

A new version of CoRubrics GSD is now available in the spreadsheet add-ons Chrome store, an add-on to evaluate with rubrics.

This new version has the main novelty of integrating with Classroom. This integration takes place in 3 aspects.

ImExClass: an add-on for exporting and importing gardes between Classroom and a spreadsheet

Yesterday Google published in the Chrome store of spreadsheet add-ons a new add-on I created, ImExClass.

It’s a simple add-on that solves a need I had and maybe others have as well. I use a spreadsheet (virtual teacher’s gradebook) to keep track of the students. In addition, I use Google Classroom to support my classes.

CoRubrics and CoRubrics GSD become add-ons

The CoRubrics and CoRubrics GSD templates have become Google spreadsheet add-ons. This change does not affect the normal functioning of the evaluation process for rubrics. All it does is make it easier to start the process.
