<\/p>\n\n\n\nI have just published a new feature for CoRubrics in BETA phase: checklists. Assessing with rubrics, especially co-assessing and self-assessing, is very interesting, but it is certainly complicated. It is not easy to design a good rubric and have students make it their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes, another assessment tool can be used, such as checklists: a list of aspects or criteria that learners should consider when performing a task, and where they should indicate whether they have achieved them or not. Here is a simple example of an excerpt from a checklist for assessing a portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

CoRubrics now allows you to choose a checklist template instead of a rubric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe rest of the process will be very similar. The template to be filled in will be created, the students and teachers will be indicated, the form to be sent to the students will be created, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scoresheet will be different. You will see an average result for each of the aspects, between 0 and 1. 0 means that it has not been achieved, and 1 means that it has. If a co-assessment is made, the average of all the answers is taken and, therefore, decimals may appear. If it does not reach 0.5, it will be considered as not achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When submitting results, students will not receive any numbers. Students only see whether they have achieved the criteria and the comments left by their peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
